| I read somewhere that a yorkie with a white star on its chest is going to have the best coat. Dont know why this is. I didnt take the papers for my little ones either. I dont plan to breed or show them so who needs a bit of paper(except them to chew that is)

They know that you aren't going to pay several hundred dollars for a piece of paper, especially if you aren't breeding! The AKC allows breeders to sell on limited registration, which means no breeding rights. If she offers you registration through any other registry besides the AKC, it’s worthless, they are paper registries and register anything. If you actually want a Yorkie, finding a breeder who sells AKC registered dogs is your very first step. I would run from a breeder who said this. She probably doesn't have breeding rights, which is the same as stealing, and this means she probably doesn't do health testing and breeds whatever she has. Please take your time when finding a breeder, don’t get caught up in cute puppy pictures.

| I've read that the pup who comes to you in a litter is the alpha, it's not because they like you the most it's because they got them some cahones. I chose Tufty because he had cheek in his eyes, boy was I right. I must say Teegy is an awesome big brother, the two of them play so well and snuggle and lick each other. This morning while I was having my coffee they were both laying in my lap licking each other's faces and then Tufty rested his head on Teegy's right paw. |

| CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) and the AKC are the two reputable registeries, with the AKC being the older of the two, but not by much! But just remember, a registry does NOT make a reputable breeder! You will be told that by both of these registries! Your baby is beautiful!....precious little baby! |

| Can I share something I found out directly from the ckc when I questioned them. A breeder who owns ckc registered dogs but isn't a breeder with ckc registration can breed hybrids mutts designer dogs with the ckc registered dogs and the ckc will still accept their money for the registration of purebred pups from said ckc registered dogs. I hope that wasn't confusing. I don't think that's very cool. |
