Questions about Meetup Groups

We now have 40+ members, and 10-15 show up on any given day. Since we don't have any fenced dog parks, we meet at a little-used fenced ballpark at a park. With no organized little-league or softball teams there, we're welcome. On special occasions, we'll even rent the space from the parks department. In winter, we meet at a doggy daycare for a minimal donation.

This will be our third year for the little dog group.

The best part is, the dogs love it. My dogs know what "meetup" means, and they can't wait to go and hang out with their friends.

If you think I'm kidding when I say I've always wanted to go to Alaska and now I might just do it...your wrong! I'm from Western NY the Alaska of the North East!

Kudo's on your meetups, thats a great showing. When I have more time and less work...I will be more active like this.

I think meetups are fine, actually great, I belong to several- Scrabble, theology, book share, animal shelter groupies, coffee, potluck, and a volunteer group where we visit AIDS patients who are at the end...so obviously, I love meet up groups.

Really, I have no idea what you are talking about.

p.s. I PURCHASED MY YORKIES too, 2,500 and 1,500, infact I am well over 30,000 invested in them, whats your point? Are you referring to rescues? or am I assuming again??

Actually i was refering to the post that quoted my post in its answer..i understood perfectly, when u said "some of the meetups like Tenisha ones sound like a party" but i was only defending myself by the statement u made saying "
....go ahead further their cause, I wonder do you get a free yorkie or a extra money to buy your Yorkie some more froofroo clothing??? just wonderin... Today 02:47 PM

because i do not..thats wut i meant by asking? if it was not meant in the manner i took it, i appologize, it just gets under my skin when I think people see all people in the same spot light... didnt mean to upset you, i just wanted it to be clear that i am not a breeder, and im not looking to breed my babies.. once again, im sorry for the blow up.

I was thumbs up your thread honey, and then added some additional dialogue...wasn't referring to you in a negative way... sometimes things in print are misinterpreted! Its all good!!!

no problem......i just get so many people asking me r getting my friends to ask me for puppies if i breed.. i have only had my newbies a week r so now, and have already been asked "if u breed, will u sell me one" and i have to take a deep breath before i answer them because ignorance is learned, not inherited. ive had two poodles before my yorkies (one lived 15yrs) my other one was nabbed by my mom who refuse to give her bk.. and ive heard the same questions then.. like i said, didnt mean to blow up, just wanted u to know why i have a short fuse when it comes to breeding just for profit, and the love of the animal is put on the back burner. if their was an activist for irresponsible breeders, it would be me..
