| My cute "Purebred" Yorkie?? Hi guys, I have a cute little yorkie that I love very very much. But I can't help but question if she really is purebred. I'm thinking either half morkie or like one of her parents aren't purebred. I don't know some days she looks like what you'd think a yorkie would look like, then other days she looks like a mix.. a cute mix. Anyway I'm only curious it's no big deal but if you could tell me what you think that'd be helpful. |

| Yes I have and some of the Yorkies look like a lot like her and others not so much. But a common thing I'm reading on this website is how each yorkie is unique. Curiosity just got the best of me, but nothing could change the way I feel for my baby. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Not all Yorkies ears stand, a breeder shouldn't breed a floppy eared dog, but many don't care about following standard. Of course of floppy eared Yorkie is still cute, but the more a breeder ignores the standard, the more the offspring will end up looking like a mixed breed. You could take two Yorkies and selectively breed the offspring until you got a dog that ended up looking nothing like a Yorkie, breeders pick and choose the genes that should be carried on whether they know it or not. Your baby is cute and you could shave and try taping the ears to get them to stand, but since he’s just a pet, it’s no big deal, and many love the floppy eared look.

| She's not as fuzzy nor has the length or fluffiness of coat that a lot of Yorkie puppies seem to have but I'm surely no expert. Her body coat seems to lie close and flat. But I do know an adorable dog when I see one and this one shines with personality and a Yorkie persona to me. What a little gem!

| Well, she's a cutie. I had to look to see how old she is. She's just nine weeks old. She looks all yorkie to me. You can shave her ears now and tape them and that may help them to stand. She's precious and looks very loveable.
