| Yorkie acting strange after We returned from vacation Hi, Im not sure if this question belongs here, but Im new and not sure where to post it. Last Week I Married and We took Our Honeymoon to the beach for 6 days. I left My 2 year old Yorkie, Mitsi with My Dad whom She knows very well and really loves. I checked in on Her daily on the phone and My Dad said She was happy, and playing as always. but now that Were back and I took Her Home with Us, Shes been acting slightly depressed (She was Happy to See Us and everything) I mean She plays but not as much but Shes eating and drinking normally so I have not called the vet yet. She just has this look to Her that Shes sad or something. Any Advice would be great. thanks so much |

| That's what happened to me when my friend watched my two. It took a couple days to get back to normal. I felt like they were either upset with me that I left them, or was worried that I'd leave them again. |

| Hi and welcome to YT! Georgie did the same thing last year when went on vacation. He stayed with his Grandpa who he stays with during the day when we are at work. I think it might take time to get them back to their normal routine. If she is eating and drinking normal then I would just give her time. If your Dad lives close take her for a visit As a side note my nieces Yorkie has seperation anxiety so bad that she can't even show him her suitcase or he gets upset. I don't think your Mitsi has an issue like that but maybe needs a little reassurance that you aren't going anywhere.

| I think so, We brought Her out with Us to His place today and that seemed to perk Her up a little. I hope She gets where Shes Happy at Home again. This is My First Yorkie and She means so much to Me, I hate seeing Her sad and I cant do anything. |

| Yorkies are not like any other breed of dog you have ever been involved with! They are sooooooo much like a human child, it is almost scary! They are very sensitive and if they get angry with you, they will pout....some pout for a day or two...I have a little female that pouts for a week! Studies have shown Yorkies are very smart and have the aptitude of a 4 year old child!Your baby will get over it and then one day, it will be like nothing ever happened and she doesnt know "what in the world you talkin' 'bout"!!! | Hello and welcome, I'm sure Mitsi will be fine, she just needs a little reassurance, they really don't like change.

| When ever we have visitors Gracie will pout when they leave, especially if we have had kids visiting. She loves to play with kids. It's so hard to see that little pout face looking so sad. Sometimes she makes me feel like she blames me because they left. Usually taking her for a walk helps as it is one of her favorite things to do. She has a long memory but if I can make her happy she will forget about pouting. Hope yours gets over it soon. |
