| Don't scare me like that!!!! FYI - heimlech manuever instructions in the sick/injured section. A few minutes ago Heidi & I were working on her tricks. I was using Wellbites & cutting them up into small bites. I dropped a whole one, she grabbed it real fast, only 2 or 3 chews and gulped it down. She had a sudden look of panic acting like she couldn't breath, eyes bulging & whimpered when I picked her up. Never been so close to panic! Started trying to look up heimlech manuever on YorkieTalk, afraid it'd take too long to get to the vet's. She started settling down a bit before I got to the directions & was breathing. She acted a little strange a few minutes just walking around. All is well now & she wanted to play with a toy. Oh my gosh, that really scared me!!!!! Heidi, don't ever do that again!!!!'

| How scary! I have read and reread the directions on here before, but I worry that I would panic in an emergency. I think it would be good to take a doggy CPR class. I'm glad Heidi was able to swallow it and is okay. That must have been so scary... We feed those Wellbites, but also break them into smaller pieces. Now I definitely know not to give them whole pieces. Scary!

| Thanks. That had me so panicked & wired up, I just had to tell someone. Felt like I was going in circles between the heimlech directions & afraid she wouldn't make it to the vet. LoL yeah, I think I will check out the doggie first aid & cpr class I've heard advertise now too! She always gets lots of lovin', but she's getting overdose of it tonight after that little episode.

| wow what a scare, glad it worked out OK, I have to pull few things out of the throat myself. it makes me think I should look up some basic first aid for dogs, I was watching a TV show and they mentioned that dogs should have CPR done on their side, never would have know that.
