| Bella's check-up She had her vet visit this morning. She did so good. Got vaccinated, flea, tick, parasite meds. Poor little thing has been laying around all day. She had chills earlier so I put winter jammies on her and gave her a half a baby aspirin. She doesn't want to walk, I know her shoulder hurts. Good report tho. She's gained weight, so since it's getting nice out, we're gonna have to start walking. Her teeth are perfect and her knees are really good. Our vet was impressed with her at her age and her knees. He said usually by the time their 4 yrs old, he can pop their knees out, Bellas wouldn't move. I got the new flea parasite pill, which I will wait to give her in a few days, and a topical for ticks, which will also wait a few days. Thanks to everyone on here that gave suggestions. |

| Did your vet say it was ok to give her a baby aspirin? My vet says aspirin is not recommended any more for pain with dogs.

| I had asked and he told me either half a baby aspirin or I think 1 mm of benedryl. I have the baby aspirin but not the benedryl. I bit it in half which she got just under a half. I could tell when it was working and then by bed time it wore off. So I did not give her anymore, wasn't sure. |
