| Just checking to see what you found out was causing the hacking. Hope he's better!

| Did you take him to the vet? If it is kennel cough, it can quickly turn into pneumonia.

| Hello Hello everyone sorry I haven't been on to update but I haven't had much time. Sorry to keep you all anticipating on Julian but he is just fine. He managed to sneak and find a tiny piece if paper that I some how missed when cleaning and swallowed it! But he coughed it up and is healthy and happy and just a complete joy and lover boy! I love him to pieces and he is doing extremely well now, especially with potty training! He loves to lay on mommy's lap and sleep, it's so adorable! But all in all, he is doing great again! Oh and the hair on his head is growing pretty fast so I may start testing to see if he will let me put in topknots

| Gracie is going to be two toward the end of May and I still have to keep all paper away from her. I can't use the little trash basket that I used to have in the bathroom because she will raid it when I'm not looking. Cardboard boxes are usually safe unless she is out of bully sticks and then she will try to devour one if it is available. Hope the package is in the mail today! Glad to hear he is OK. Sounds like he is keeping you busy. Hope all is well. |

| I had a similar scare last week w/Maggie. She was sort of gagging, like she was trying to throw up but nothing was coming. It was in the morning (her morning--like 11am-she stays in bed till about 10:15) so i don't think she had been chewing. She usually just chills in the window or in front of the storm door in the morning. I put an ottoman in front of the living room window just so she can lay up there and look out. Anyway, I saw some yellow bile spit up in her bed by the door. She will spit some of that up maybe once a month. I didn't know if she had inhaled some of it by accident or had thrown up the yellow stuff because she got something else caught in her throat. She could breathe, but she would just TRY to throw up a few times throughout the early afternoon. She'd open mouth wide and lean down and gag. I read the doggie heimlich and somewhere it said to try to hold them head down, or to give them a wack between the shoulder blades. Did that (not hard!) and she went in her cage! (she only goes in cage when bedtime or scared). She seemed OK for the most part, I decided to do a quick bath because she got yellow stuff on her face and it smelled (HEY-maybe the smell was gagging her!). Bathed her....she did her after bath face wipe on the floor and shake and then tried to throw up again and twice got a little white stuff, like spit, out....She seemed ok and eventually i took her outside for a little natural blow dry. She was fine on the walk, gagged maybe one more time after that...and then she was fine. It was really weird and i was prepared to throw her in the car if she had trouble breathing. She never did throw up anything solid. I think she breathed in some of her initial barf. Sure is scary when they're doing it......Oh yes, one other thing that I think makes them barf or gag is when they get hair or a dust bunny in them. |
