| ![]() Jasper is doing ok at the potty training. We go outside first thing in the morning, after food, after naps, after play, and before bed, and in the night and he always goes but he comes in the house and like maybe 5 minutes later he always seems to poo or pee in the livingroom. I use some cleaner to get rid of the smell and it works but he just goes in a new spot each time. I want to know how to help in help me know that he needs to go out before an accident I mean I see him sniffing but he does that all day trying to find food on the floor.he also circles a spot more then just when needing to go. He knows which door we go out but he doesn't go over and signal to let him out. Help please.

| ![]() My male does that too. I started letting him out, he pees, then he comes in. Then a few minutes later, I tell him to go out again. Now he goes out the 2nd time and finishes, and sometimes he does it all in one trip. He has also started going to the door if he didn't do it all the first time. I just try to remember to pay attention and look for him to do this, so I can let him out and avoid an accident.

| ![]() Confinement is the best way to prevent these accidents. Free access to the house is a privilege- Not a requirement. Mine still do not have free access to the house when unattended. If you can't keep eyes on puppy they must be confined. I would also tether mine to me so that they could not hide to have accidents.

| ![]() Molly was doing this also and I just decided to leave her out a little longer until I seen that she pooped and then I would praise her and she is getting so much better now.
