| One sure way to decide something concerning my yorkie is that I will never, ever put her at risk. I have a very safe and secure fenced yard for her. I don't need to take her out on a leash, because it is safe. However, I always go out with her.

| Don't be afraid to be the crazy dog lady. I've been the crazy mom of someone most my life. When my kids were young I was the mom that would not let them visit a friend without meeting the parents and going to their home first. I wouldn't let them ride their bikes in the road, they could not leave the yard without permission and there were, they say, a hundred other rules. I was unimpressed with what "all the other kids" did. Safety and what was right is all that concerned me. I feel the same way about my pets. I'm going to do what is best for them regardless of some family member that thinks I am over protective or "crazy." How crazy would I be if something DID happen to one of my pets?? What other people say or think means very little to me. |

| It just takes one time that they see a squirrel or something and are off like a shot. Use the lead.

I wouldn't call you overprotective... I would call you an excellent parent!! With what kids get away with these days is scary.. America is producing a bunch of children that expect the world to hand them stuff on a silver plader. Its sicking how many spoiled nasty brats that are out there these days!! Yep I am back to the lead!! They had 3 days of freedom!! lol
