Finally!!!!!!(: Hello, first I am not new although my status says I am a newbie. I talked to Admin and changed my Username. I was Yorkielover0102 who joined in 07-05-2011 and had 346 posts. But anyway this whole time I had been on YT but I had no furbaby and I was looking for my future breeder for when I could move and finally get my baby. But a friend of mind got one for Christmas from her boyfriend and she loved it but she didnt realized that it was challenging. She says he is "bad" and that she is going to sell him! :eek: Plus her boyfriend treats him so bad! She told me he sometimes grabs him by his neck:eek::eek: and does other crazy things like toss him up in the air because he thinks it is funny!!!:mad::mad::mad: I felt so bad and I couldn't imagine where that poor baby would have ended up if she had just sold him. So I convinced her to sell him to me. She will be driving him over to my house. She said she would give me his cage, bed, coller, dog tag, shirt, the rest of his dog food (and I assume all the toys too but if not, then I can go shopping!). When she took him to the vet, the vet said he was healthy:cheer: He was born Oct. 2nd and when I get him he will be 5 months. He loooves to be in laps, loves attention, he likes to lay between legs at night or right up under you in a tiny ball (sounds like a little cuddle-bug to meee:love-hug3). He likes toys that make noise, loves to eat and be outside. He isn't really a barker except after whinning and waiting awhile to go to the bathroom and when he hears noise through the night. He is also doing extremely well with not going to the bathroom in the house:bravo: But let me stop rambling on, I am just soo ecited. I have wanted a yorkie for the past 3 years or so. Darn no pictures! Can't wait to see him. I'm so glad you found him, she sounds like a terrible owner and her BF, tossing him up in the air, how horrible. I'm so glad he's found a safe stable environment. I wish you the best of luck, what are you naming him? |

He's very cute. You will both enjoy eachother & I'm sure he will be very happy to not be terrorized any more. The way I always use to change a pups name is to call it by it's name for a couple of days & then add the new name to it like Jr. would be Jr.+Ben or Jr. Ben & then drop the old name after a week or so. Mine always have numerous nick names & they come to any of their nicknames. Dogs learn new names pretty quickly so what ever you do I'm sure it will not take him long to learn his new name. I actually have a Ben as in ( A friend like Ben) From the Michael Jackson song Ben, and a friend he is. |
He is adorable! Don't worry about the name change... Jack is called just about everything but Jack and he still responds! Some of Jack's nicknames include bubby, cutie patootie, momma's boy, bubba and I am sure there are others. Thank you for rescuing this little guy from the situation he was in. Doesn't sound like he was in a very loving place, but you can give him that! How very exciting. |
My goodness, what an adorable little guy!! Congratulations, and thanks for saving him from a bad environment! There are so many pups out there who need guardian angels, and I'm happy that this one found his!! |
What a sweet looking little guy! How could anyone look at that adorable face and mistreat him? I am so glad to hear you are getting him away from that guy. Big man picking on a tiny pup like that! I get so frustrated that human beings keep acting like this. But need to focus on the positive -- you are getting him, you've done your study time here and know what you are getting in to with Yorkie ownership. They are a joy but do come with big responsibilities. Good luck to you both! |
