Actually I have to wait another day:( She can't get a grooming appointment till Saturday morning (I'm not sure why she waited till now to try and set one) but we will pick him, his papers and maybe a few other things up:p while we are out! I'm a tad bit sad but it's still almost here so I'm still excited!:D
I will be going to petco also. Any recommendations? Toys? Clothes? Treats?

I am excited to know that feeling! and Tomorrow is Friday and that is one day closer!:D

Also, I want him to have a topknot but I don't knowhow he will take it. She said I can tell the groomer how I want him to look butI don't know how I want it. I want them to keep the hair on top of his head forhis topknot but if he doesn't like or tolerate it then I don't want to forcehim. Either way I will love him but I want to get abetter idea.

He is fine with it....I sometimes keep his bangs back with small tension
barrettes... the kind that you push on them to get them closed or open.... although he does love running around with his lil' sheepdog look, as well.

If you want him to have A top knot, let the groomer know you are growing him out and ask them to leave his hair long and just trim ear tips, round paws, sanitary trim, etc. He may need a little time to get used to wearing a top knot, so you will need to be consistent about putting it up. Also, don't get frustrated too quickly if he resists at first...just keep telling him how gorgeous he is wearing it and how much you love him....and put it up again the next day. The little Goody scrunchies might be a good start. Wal-mart sells them for $1.98...there are 40 in a package. He can wear the pink ones to bed. :p If they do slip out, so what. They don't pull but come right out if you grab all the loops at once. With his hair still growing out, you can let him have nights sleeping without the top knot up. If he just won't have it after sufficient time, you can always re-style his hair. One tip, though...I wait to put top knots up after baths until after Brody and Mia have 'plowed' to their heart's content...otherwise they just rub the scrunchies out and I have to re-do them anyway. :D

He is so cute. You could put a small topknot on top of his head and keep his bangs short. Growing them out can take a really long time and I have a feeling it will take time to get him used to having anything in his hair. Just try distracting him after you put something in his hair and keep it loose so it doesn't pull or feel uncomfortable. Play with him and get him interested in something else. He will notice eventually and if he takes it out you can try again later.
Can't wait to hear how you two make out once he is finally home.

I love happy endings. Congratulations. Your guy is only two days older than my new family member, Jilli Ann. If you go by weeks, then he was six months old Feb. 24. Is he spayed? If not, you may want to talk to what Vet. you have chosen to care for him to set up a good age to have this done, or he may start marking in the house.
