				   | I feel like such a bad mommy.. I'm just now doing a heart worm test on Harley.. he went this morning.. they said they'll call me by next wed if it comes back positive and no call if it's negative but I told them I would call anyway out of nerves probably. I know I should have started him on heartworm preventative a while ago but I just kept forgetting but I don't know why.. I'm so worried.. What if he does have them?? I'm going to feel soo guilty.. When they brought him back out he had two of his legs wrapped up bc they said he wiggled so much and cried so much that he pulled the needle out of his front leg on the first try! Poor baby..

				   | You will need to find a good way to remember to give the medicine... Some distributors give you stickers to put on your calender. I have had animals for so many years I think it is implanted in my brain the 15th of every month. If you are planning vacations ect.. know that is is okay to give preventive meds a couple of days before or after your scheduled date.I am so sorry that your baby was a wiggler... If for some reason the test come back positive, there will be a couple of treatments they have to under go. It is a 3 month process, If I remember right when my sister had to treat their Chow. It ended up costing her 500.00. I will keep my fingers crossed for your little one. Glad to hear he is doing fine now...

				   | The good news is you now realize how important this is for your pet. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a negative report. So I do not forget to do this, as well as meds for fleas/ticks, etc. I mark my calendar for the entire period of time the meds will last, usually six months, then check it off after I give the girls their meds. Since I look at my calendar every week on Sunday to see what is on for the next week, I know when I am to give it to them and then the next week, I look to be sure I checked it off. |
