| Best food for my Yorkie Hey, I'm new to this. I have a 2 year old female Yorkie. I have read that Yorkies should have their adult coat by 2 years of age however my little baby's hair is not growing very much. How do I get it to start growing? Whats the best food. I am feeding her Royal Canine. I give her a bath every 2 weeks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Janis and Zoey |

| There is no food thats going to make her hair grow longer it is genetics and it can take some yorkies a long time to grow a long coat and some never get a long coat.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Cotton coats grow much faster than silk coats which can be very slow growing. Also, many show breeders say that a dirty coat is the worst thing for hair breakage. If growing coat is your number one concern, washing it every 5 days is advised, and using shampoo’s meant for a Yorkies skin. I really doubt that the food is the cause of slow hair growth.

| Her hair is silky and fine. What type off shampoo do you suggest? And is Royal Canine a good food for her? |
