Hello Are you reaching for the dog when he snaps ? reaching towards kids? Our Skittles would snap at my wife if my wife is going to kiss me. or if my daughter tries to hug me. she wouldn't liten to either of them but if I tell her no in a nice even tone she listens and walks away or sits and watches to make sure I am ok. Hope this helps.

Hi , he is fantastic with my children 5yrs -8yrs , it seem to be only when he's been given a row I think I've got to the bottom of it the lady I got it from told me she has occasionally put a muzzle on him when he got snapping so I contacted her today for sum more info as there no way u would be able to get a muzzle on him when he's like that she told me her and her partner restrained him to get it on no wonder the poor wee guy doesn't like anyone shouting at him cos he associates getting a row with getting restrained and getting a muzzle on I contacted my vet today for advice and he's given me a few numbers of trainers in my area I've got an appointment on monday and also been advice to use a clicker to encourage good behaviour bought one today and he's responded well Thank u for the advice Julie + wee sam

Awww Yeah we are still searching for Skittles or female was lost on 12/22/11. That was her behavior. Yes go to a trainer see what they suggest. ours suggested a water bottle on mist setting. But we opted not as all of the dogs except one hate and avoid water. My daughter had some luck with the mister with her Shepard. everything she has wanted to get him to stop doing she used the mister. no he starts barking uncontrollable she pulls her hand up like a mister is in it and he stops! If he doesn't and she just adds the sound of a mister boom he picks up on it and stops. She taught him other commands as well with it. Not saying it's a good thing but it works. Good luck with your pet.
