| ![]() I got my wisdom panel results back for my mixed dog, ChiChi. I was off on the other mix he had in him. So he is Chihuahua full bred on one side (which I knew) but he is a mini poodle mix on the other. The Mix is 36.25% mini poodle, 20.56% Norwegian Buhund, 19.54% Glen of Imaal Terrier (which is supposedly the rarest breed) 11.23% Maltese, 8.36% Dachsund and 4.06% Neapolitan Mastiff which made me giggle! What an interesting thing to learn! Thanks for the heads up on the DNA kit, it's good to know!

| ![]() Wow. They can even tell you the percentages? I wonder how far back in the family line they can go? |

| ![]() Here is a little info from the file This is on the first page which shows the 2 sides: The Wisdom Panel® Insights™ computer algorithm performed over seven million calculations using 11 different models (from a single breed to complex combinations of breeds) to predict the most likely combination of pure and mixed breed dogs in the last 3 ancestral generations that best fit the DNA marker pattern observed in Chichi. The ancestry chart depicting the best statistical result of this analysis is shown in the picture below. This is from the second page which shows you the percent of each breed from the mixed side; We have identified for you the 5 next best breed matches which appeared in the analysis of your dog's DNA. One or more of these breeds could have contributed to the genetic makeup of the ancestors indicated by the mixed breed icon. The breeds are listed by the relative strength of each result in our analysis with the most likely at the top of the list. There could also be a breed or breeds present in the mixed breed component that we cannot detect with our current database of purebred dogs. I've attached some pics of the PDF ![]() The chicken scratch on the paper is from me figuring percents ![]()

| ![]() A lot of these dna things are a big joke lol. The only ones that are the most accurate are the blood tests from the vet. I've heard of people sending some who KNOW what the mix is and getting back crazy results.

| ![]() I can honestly say I'm a true skeptic. ChiChi has very typical terrier hair and I was told mom was a Chihuahua and dad was an affenpinscher mix. So, with that being said....I'm going to do 3 more test including one from the vet. Stand by! ![]() |

| ![]() Well there are a lot of dna tests done on people that are done with just a swab of the mouth. They are considered quite accurate. DNA can also be gotten from a hair. I think the true value of the test would be told by how reputable the company is. |

| ![]() Totally agree. I dislike being taken advantage of. If the second test shows similar results....I'll stop there. I checked out wisdom and they seem pretty reputable. |
