| Weird Prices???? Today I called Caesar's breeder to see if he has any silver genes in his bloodline. I did not tell the lady that I bought Caesar from her or anything like that. I just asked if she has any plain silver Yorkies and I wanted to know some background on Caesar. (which I know she does cause I saw two of them) Well we started talk for a while and I asked her how much she is selling her Yorkies? She told me that she is selling them for 1200-1500 depending on the pup. This makes no sence to me because I bought Caesar from her for $450. Yeah he was 7 months old when I got him but does that drop the price of the dog $1000? Should I start getting worried about him?? Do you think he has something wrong with him that I might not know about? The only test that I haven't had run on him was the bile' acid test. Why would she sell him for so cheap? I mean not that I'm complaining!!!! Please give me your thoughts!! |

| When did you get Caesar? Yorkies are REALLY popular right now and maybe she just bumped her prices because of the demand??? I know that when I was looking, prices could change in the space of days. If you have any worries about your pup's health though, you should contact her and ask... |

| I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds like she had him picked out as a stud or something and then changed her mind. Maybe he didn't fit in her breeding program. Sometimes that happens and they sell them cheaper as "pets". You lucked out sounds like to me!

| Your Caesar looks perfect to me!!! Precious! I wouldn't worry about it. I agree w/ Gerry - prices are getting insane. I called Stewie's breeder in September (I got Stew in Feb) anonymously to check out his prices and they went up by about 350 dollars.

| If you are worried about his color, their color changes a lot over the first couple of years. I have a little boy with silver in his head hair, but I am pretty sure it will turn gold. He is also still black where both of his sisters have lost most of their black. I agree you are lucky with the price, what is his weight, that is a key reason for price drop at that age, he may have gotten too big to breed (for her).

I paid $850 for Rebel...the going price was $650 at the time. Her very next litter...which was a couple of months later, she was asking $1500 for her males. She didn't get it and went back down to $850...had some friends calling...yeah, I can be sneaky!
