To change a name or Not to change a name, That is the question?

I got Bear when he was 5 months old, so he was already named. I didn't really care for it, but I kept it beacause it does seem to fit him. I usually call him Little Bear, or Sugar Bear, and sometimes Baby Bear. Another reason I kept it, was that he responds to it so well.

Sprite was named Angelica when we got her from her breeder at 19 weeks. That seemed like such a big name for such a tiny little girl. She reminded me of a little fairy or elf, so we decided to call her Sprite. She's also bubbly and energetic like the soft drink, so her name fits her either way

We kept Coco's name because i just liked it. I also thought it was differebt because it was after Coco Chanel and not just like Cocoa. So ive decided to make it a theme, every dog i get will be named after a designer.(; my next dog will be Stella, after Stella McCartney(?)

I've had three yorkie rehomes, and changed all of their names. They had no problem adjusting, they are smart!

With the first two, I changed their names because I just didn't like the ones they had been previously given. With the one I have now, I changed it because it was the same as my DH's. DH said "keep it, it's a great name." I agreed with him that it was a great name, but it would just be too confusing!

Oh I definitely changed the name! Riot's breeder called him Deeker lol and the lady I'm getting Chaos from just calls them #1 and #2 or Mr Big and Mr Little
