| Winter Boots does anyone have experience with winter snow boots on Yorkies? i know the salt can be very harmfull for their feet pads. My husband and I are planning a family trip up to Sun Peaks (ski resort nearby). We are planning on bringing Brew along for the trip as i'm not a skiier so i just plan on touring around. We had snow this year and Brew loved to run and play and dig in it as much as possible around here. he does wear a warm sweater when he is out in the snow, but i'm wondering about the boots now. I don't see him taking to boots on his feet at all, but i was curious if it should be one of those tough love things that he doens't enjoy, but mom says!!! (i.e nail trims) any yorkies like the boots?? |

| You can get some and try putting them on him to wear around the house. Some get used to them easily and some just won't wear them or walk in them at all. It's just something you have to try.

| I might be nutty, but I got boots for Cody to wear in the snow. He gets so cold usually that I just couldn't imagine his little paws being okay buried in cold wet snow. He didn't exactly love them, but he'll tolerate them so far, and if he gets excited about digging his nose into the snow, he totally forgets he has them on. If you want advice on boots, AllDogBoots is your woman. She's loads of help. |

| Bella wears boots when we get a couple of inches of snow. Poor thing, it's hard for her to balance on her front legs while she's trying to pee and keep her back legs out of the snow. |

| Teddy loves his boots and keeping his paws dry! Max appreciates them once he is outside. We bought ours from YT member Karen at alldogboots.com.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Not sure if ours our 'snow boots' but Katie Scarlett wore them during her first snow a few weeks ago. She wasn't too crazy about them when I first put them on when we got them. But then I would put them on for small amounts of time every other day or so and now she is used to them. She did very good in the snow with hers on. They were like second nature. Here she is before we went out...(and I had pink socks on under these boots too to keep her warm) We got ours at Big Lots for like $10 I think. I want to buy her a nicer pair but I wanted to see if she would wear them before investing a lot of money. LOL

| oh my goodness! hehe that looks cute. hubby tries to tell me that Brew is only allowed to wear sports jerseys we leave in 3 weeks so i hope it's enough time to get him used to them. he is good with sweaters and bandanas, but the one time i tried to put a belly band he wouldn't move and just flopped to the side. (it was before his neuter and we were going to the in-laws..i was worried about marking the new smells inside) I can't see him liking it...but i have to change my attitude because i know that's all it takes sometimes. i'm just going to "will" him into liking them |
