| Oh no, I just realized I'll have to leave Herk My daughter and son-n-law gave us a trip to Gatlinburg for Christmas. It's at a golf resort. Golf in the winter LOL. Well it's suppose to be in the 50's during the day so that will not be too bad. If it's too cold there is a lot to do. We leave next Friday and I just realized that is the first time we have ever left our little boy. I hate it. He is going to be lost. My husband is with him all day long and he is so spoiled. We have to spell when we need to go somewhere. He knows what go is even if we are not talking to him. My daughter has agreed to take him home with her. It don't help me with worrying. Now I know what people are talking about when the get upset about leaving their babies. |

| I am sure he will be ok at least he will be with your family. I havent had to leave my babies over night yet and I dread the day I have too. Time will fly and he will be back in your arms again.

| Awww, he'll be fine though. It is hard to leave them knowing they'll be sad and miss mommy and daddy! My hubby and I left our yorkie, Sully, with our inlaws when we went to Gatlinburg last December, and it was hard to do. He was still so little then! PS. My husband and I live in Charleston, SC now.....but we met while working at Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg in 2002. We both went to school in the Knoxville area and so were waiting tables thru college. It's a fun place! Go there if your golf gets snowed out

| I know how you feel. We have had to leave our little guy about 5 or 6 times since we got him and it never gets easier. As long as Herk is with someone that will love on him as much as you do, you have nothing to worry about. Try and go and have a good time. Your little guy will be so happy to see you when you get home!!

| The golf resort was a way of getting us there. The main thing is they wanted us to enjoy ourselves, see the sights. I can't wait. I here Gatlinburg in December is beautiful. |

| At least you have family to take your baby. I do a lot of petsitting (I actually have a baby yorkie girl with me tonight). Just if you ever have to find a sitter, make sure it's someone who has a lot of experience with dogs, and won't just crate them all day long, but play and spend time with your baby. I'm having the best time with this little girl. haha She's hilarious!

| Poor Mum! Did you check to see if the baby can go with? A lot of places are becoming more lenient, especially with the little dogs. Sometimes they have a fee, but it might be worth it so you don't have to worry. Worth a call to check.

| It's funny you mentioned taking him with us. My husband said last night, reckon we could him with us. He is so worried about us leaving him and him missing us. The only thing I would not want to leave him in the room while we were on the golf course. We could not take him on it - he would chase all the balls That is a thought though. Thanks |

| We took Dublin to the Sheraton Manhattan Towers (no additional charge!) for a long weekend this summer, and he was just fine. The only time he had to stay in the room was while we were at dinner. He was with us all day, so he was worn out by then, though. I know golf would be much longer than a dinner, but could you take him along in a carrier while you play?

| Herk loves golf balls. He will chase them and even twist his head and throw them. That's one of his favorite toys. One that he can't destroy that is. |
