I hope you get the help your dog needs. As a person who struggles with a mental disorder, I won't be one to judge how stress affects you. I know I can shut all the way down. Stay strong and try to get the help your baby needs.

I understand not feeling well...I had really bad mono for over 6 weeks a few years back. But, I still got up, saw my kids off to school, picked them up afterwards and taxied them to all their activities, took care of the house, kids, dogs, etc. (I also have to manage depression issues.)

It's amazing what you can do if you tell yourself there is no other option. I'm a "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" kind of person.

Now is the time to put your dog first. There really is NO other option.

I hope and pray you find the strength to take your baby for that appointment. I understand about stress and anxiety but I find the best way is to deal with the problem head on. The longer I stress about something the worse it becomes in my mind. Once the surgery is over and your baby is feeling good you will be so glad you didn't cancel. She is depending on you.

Seriously? This isn't even a debatable issue. You are responsible to get your dog to that appointment for her life saving sugery. Sick or not you have to go.

Sweet Yorkie,
I am wondering if you understand the seriousness of Bridgett's illness. As you said in one of your first posts she could die without this surgery.
All of the previous posts are not wanting you to have to live with that consequence and have therefore been very encouraging and cheering you on.
Sometimes we just have to do what is right, not what is easy.

We continue to pray for and encourage you....but the responsibility to act in the best interst of your furbaby is yours!

Hope all goes well on Monday. We are all waiting and sending strength and prayers !

You have said what I was thinking, Yorkiemini. I am so praying Bridgett gets the care she desperately needs.

Well, it is a little more than stress, because I've been so dizzy I can't hardly walk or see straight, and have extreme pain and tightness in my neck and head. My blood pressure has been up to 160/110. There is a heavy feeling in my chest, and my mind isn't working right. It's hard to even think. I've been in bed. My sister and friends tell me to go to the emergency room. I don't know what's going on since I've never felt like this before. I have to be well to take Bridgett to UC Davis. If I keep feeling like this, I'll have to go in myself. Hopefully, I'll be better in a couple of days, plus it will give me time to get an untrasound done on her before I go up. I wasn't able to get the scan done before scheduling her appointment. Then Davis called Thursday and told me she would be there 3 days, and that just involved getting tests done "only". Then she said we would come back home, and then they would make another appointment for the surgery. They didn't tell me that before. Anyway, I can get her ultrasound done here, first. In the mean time, I will treat Bridgett with fluids, medication and her special diet, like I have been doing. I'll get her taken care of as soon as I can.

Why can't your sister or friend take your dog to her appointment? The fluids, medication and special diet can only do so much and she is still at risk for dying. If they are going to keep her for a few days then all you have to do is pull it together enough to get her there. I don't know how you are taking proper care of her if you can't get out of bed. The tests will put her surgery off longer so you need to get them started as soon as possible instead of putting them off later and later. I have to hope this is a hoax or this puppy is going to end up dead. I have anemia which makes me dizy and weak but it did not stop me from doing Callie's physical therapy with her every day even in 19 degrees i would bundle up do what i had to and we would nap afterwards. No illness would keep me from saving Callie's life.

This is your dog and your responsibility. You need to get yourself together or find someone who is able to take care of your pup. I would pray that if this was your child you would be able to pull it together regardless of any disability.
I have bipolar disorder so i know how it is to get depressed down or whatever to the point of having body aches that i can barely get out of bed. But if my dog or child needed life saving care i woukd be getting my act together, putting my needs aside, and doing what i needed to do.
This is the responsibility of owning a dog, and this is what you agreed to when you brought your furbaby home. Live up to it. Youre who thry look to for safety and protection. Dont cop out.

I see to it she gets her treatments. I haven't been in bed the whole time. Just a lot more. You are right. I have to get over this. She is my number one concern. I just cant seem to get the migraines under control. My doctor is scheduling me for an MRI. We'll take her in the motorhome, so I won't be driving, and I can go back and lay down with Bridgett. I'm hoping to get her ultrasound done next week. I'll take her to Bakersfield to get it done because the mobile doctor won't even come to my town until March. That's crazy. You'd think that even one untrasound for one dog would be important enough for her to come to my vet for appointments. Anyway, I know she is my responsiblity and I love her so very much! Thank you for your concern for her.

Have a family member take her to the appt. and have a friend take you. Both need to be taken care of now rather then later. Both your lives may depend on it the way it sounds.

You are either conning everyone on YT or you are straight out of your mind. You cannot be that sick and also able to place an IV in that dog's body and give her the care she needs. You need to get your stories straight! Why don't you go to the ED if your so sick? Ignoring a problem does not make it go away. If you have high blood pressure it is easily treated. A trip to the ED would fix it. It sounds to me like you are either lying or you are too selfish to care. You have no right to do that to an innocent creature that is depending on you. You have not right to con the people on this site either.

Oh, now it's migraines! You can have the ultrasound done at Davis. They are going to want one of their own anyway. What do you think they wanted to do tests for? You are a piece of work!
If you really do have a dog then give it to someone who cares enough about it to get it the help it needs. If you don't have a dog then stop doing this.
You can't possibly think your "stress" disorder is in anyway as serious as a dog's life threatening illness!!
