Pertaining to a breeder, consider only the breeders with homes neat, clean enough, you wouldn't mind spending the day and having dinner there. The pups should centrally located in the home, tv/music on, someone around, being socialized all day. Their crate/pen should be clean, bedding especially. Parents on site, at least the dam and photo/pedigree of sire. If you are getting too many excuses, no matter how cute the pup, leave. You have to think, by purchasing from this breeder you are condoning their shady practices. I saw three or four really cute, exactly (appearance) what I was looking for, puppies and just left, because the breeder didn't have the answers I needed. Also, by the time I visited the fifth or sixth breeder, I brought a few pictures of adult yorkies, a couple of pictures were from this site By the way, thanks to; Maximo, Bitsy, and Quicksilver I did the research and put in the time, because I knew I was willing to spend my hard earned dollar to expand my family and I felt it should go to a breeder that is the most competent. If finances were an issue, I would consider a rescue so I'd have enough for their future medical if needed. Best of luck, keep us posted please | |

| Hello There Hi Ms. Sharyn, I was googling something tonight and I saw my name and it led me to this. First of all, I am the manager of Petland in Athens Ohio, which is a wonderful place and I have worked there for 8years! We do not buy our puppies from puppy mills, I actually sell my puppies to Petland in Athens because we buy all of our animals from local breeders, including our crickets! LOL I occasionally will sell to an individual and yes, my puppies all up to date on vaccs and wormings and they are even potty trained on pee pee pads. My little grandfurchildren are so small, that I will not let go to either Petland or their new home until they are at least 12 weeks. I hope I answered all your questions and feel free to ask me anything. |
