| ![]() We used to board our dogs in a really great kennel. They were larger dogs so we couldn't take them with us. Tiny dogs are one reason why I have a Yorkie, Chihuahua, and a mini poodle. Now we've moved and I don't know of any good boarding kennels. Because our dogs are so small (no more than 18 lbs in total for the 3), they can go with us to most places. I think we might use a pet sitter if we absolutely couldn't take our dogs, but I don't know anybody in our area yet. |

| ![]() Thank goodness I've only had to leave him with my dad before. My dad and stepmom have my 8yr old brother and 2 dogs of their own - a fenced in backyard and Jackson is there 2 nights a week or so anyways with me. It's his second home so it's basically no different for him. He does miss me a lot when I'm gone and my dad says he acts different and sits in the window a lot but I feel good that he's comfortable there and being spoiled and taken care of. Boarding is not for me. I think there's some places that are very nice and well kept but I just couldn't do it for Jackson.... he's not the kind of dog who could do it, I really think he'd have a panic attack. Strange people handling him, me not being there, he's just very sensitive guy in the first place and I think it'd be disastrous. If for some reason my dad could not do it, I have other family members who I trust before ever boarding him. I bring him with me, however, whenever I can on vacation.

| ![]() Levi stays with friends or family members that he is comfortable with. My first choice is always my brother; second choice is my parents; third choice is my best friend. He has stayed with them from one night to one week, and has always done well. He's very used to being around them, and I'm comfortable with any of them watching him. ![]()

| ![]() I was blessed to have a coworker tell me about a women that works at one of the local vet offices and pet sits on the side. She does such a wonderful job with my Baby and even lets her sleep in her bed while she is there.I dont think I could vacation without Patricia I trust her so much with my little one.She only keeps small dogs and they have to be spayed or neutered. |
