| New baby girl! As you all know, I'm bringing home my new baby Roxy next Thursday! I just talked with the woman I'm buying her from and we have made times and I won't have to leave her the whole day to make a good transition for her. I'm so excited and I can't stop thinking about her! I talk about her all the time and think I may even be starting to annoy all those that I'm around from talking about her so much... So I decided to come onto the world of YT to yak about her because I know all of you feel the same way about yours! Everyone here is so wonderful, and I can't count the number of tips and things I've learned by being a part of it. I love YT and am already addicted to this place! I can't wait to post my own pics and stories of my baby for all of you to see. Thank you for being so sweet and helpful to all!

| Thank you all so much! I just can't wait. Everything I see I want to get for her! She's my first yorkie, and I'm gonna' be a new parent as this is my very first own personal dog. So I'm new to all these things!

| I've bought her a crate, she has a collar and I.D. tag, I've made her a few bows and bought one I found for 99 cents at the pet store. Lol. I also have some puppy pads for her, and a leash. I'm going to the pet store again this weekend sometime to get her a brush, puppy food, food and water bowls, puppy shampoo, tooth brush & paste, and a couple of toys.. But that's all my budget really allows for at the time. ): Its kind of a tight one!

| Please make sure you get her a harness, that is one of the most important things you can get your little girl. When you walk her outside you will want to use a harness> As far as clothing, my own advice is don't invest a lot on it when she is a baby. She will outgrow things so fast.

| Congrats on the new addition. Quote:
I made sure to have a warm winter coat and some jammies when mine were babies just to keep them warm- otherwise I didn't spend too much on clothes until I had more of an idea how big they were going to be

| Lol, too funny I LOVE your excitement of getting your new baby. You have posted everywhere you can & have asked lots of GooD questions too. It is so nice to see people asking the questions Before the pup comes home instead of after. As someone else mentioned , pet insurance would be a very good thing, as things can go wrong that can cost lots of money & you would not want to have a tragedy & not be able to help save your baby girl. Remember to Always have a leash on her when out doors & Never leave her out unattended as the birds of prey (Hawks, Owls) have been known to carry off little dogs. Be sure you get her vaccination records from the breeder & that you follow through with her puppy vaccinations & you might want to read up on Dr Dodds vaccination protocol as well. Don't let your baby jump up & down from furniture. Teach her waite & pick her up to let her on & off furniture. She will still be tiny when she comes home so be sure she's fed several times a day & always have clean water available to her. Keep her warm & give her Lots of lovin. Looking foward to seeing your new baby. |

| Congratulations RoxieMomma. I picked up my Yorkie puppy Ella Bella the Ball on Thursday January 5, 2012. She weighed 3.5 Lbs at 12 weeks, she'll get weighed again in two weeks when she's 15 weeks and gets her Rabies shot. I (like you) can't stop talking about my beautiful fur baby. She really brings joy and excitement into my live, and those she meets. I'm happy to have found this community! Cheryl Diane |
