My daughter and some of my friends are praying as well. I wonder how the place that took him after the attack disposes of the furbabies once they die? If they dump them at a landfill, I wonder if that's what happened? And maybe someone there seen him and scooped hm up and took him hope and helped him get all healed up? Just so many possibilities running through my head.Oh I do hope we hear something soon. Contiued prayers for Armani and the OP.

I would assume they would hold the Chi for at least a couple days to see if anyone comes to claim him? She might not be able to adopt him until after a predetermined waiting period. I agree, that would be the Chi's lucky day too!

It has been about a year since she's seen him. She may need to have some confirming done, too, to verify it's him. Not sure how that would be done, or how long it would take...she may have had to produce papers to prove he really was/is hers, etc., before they would let her take him...assuming that it really is him and this is not some horrific mix-up. Regardless, the waiting is dreadful... :hands::xfingers:

That's all verified before the microchip is implanted.

I definitely should have canceled my cardio appointment. I won't get into it here but needless to say I scared the peepee out of my cardio.:p

Yes, but this is now a very unusual situation, possibly involving two (2) "owners"...one who 'could' theoretically claim that the microchip was improperly/not updated, and who could produce current photos, friends who the dog knows, vet records, etc. for the dog. Plus, the dog might be more inclined to go to the people who he was last with...or may not remember as a result of his injuries.

I know when two (2) 'perfect' boxers showed up in my kitchen wearing ID's, there were also two (2) owners and I REFUSED to allow the dogs to leave my care until they proved their right to the dogs. We called the phone number on the ID's, thinking someone vacationing has lost the dogs...it was over a big holiday weekend. The original owner had actually sold the dogs to someone in my neighborhood and the collars pointed to the original owner...not the current owners, who were out of the country on vacation, leaving the dogs in the care of a sitter. The dogs tunneled under the fence. My DH actually accompanied the sitter to view the little diggers' handiwork as final proof. We had the boxers for a week, but fortunately, the original owner was a lawyer and knew what to have produced, told us some things to check out, and he helped verify that the dogs really did go to the right people...or he would have taken them back.

I do hope that, if this is her dog, Armani, as the man said, that she gets him back.
