The thing that breaks my heart is the puppies you see like when you got sonic. It is true buying them supports puppy mills or bad byb.. But they sure tug st your heart .. The correct answer is not to buy them but oh so hard to walk away!

| ![]() I just got my hair done today and my girl showed a picture of her new baby. She has two little ones already and this third one is about 16 weeks old for FREE. I was almost jealous. The girl that had the babies had this one sold but the the new owner lost her job and had to decline from the sale. So the breeder thought she had found another home for her but she wasn't to fond of the home, not clean. So she ended up giving the pup to the girl that does my hair because she knew the pup would be going to a really good home. The breeder said she was going to get out of breeding because she is finding it hard with each litter to get rid of. She's becoming attach. So I guess there's still kind people out there that care for their little soon to be adopted. ![]() |

| ![]() Congratulations on your new Yorkie. I hope everything goes well with your new puppy. Sparrow was a bargain basement Yorkie. She was given up to a rescue when she turned one because of her luxating patella. She was going to be used for breeding, but they couldn't because of her LP. I don't know why she wasn't given up before that because I'm sure LP can be detected at an earlier age. Anyway, the rescue's adoption fee was $100, and it's all tax deductible. She's very healthy so far as the vet's can tell, and hopefully she won't need the expensive surgery for her knee. She will definitely be a very expensive Yorkie if she needs that surgery. |

| ![]() AWW! Congrats on your new puppy! Sounds a little too good to be true... we bought Bailey for almost double that. $800, but $50 off for military discount, then another $100 for a holding fee. Came with CKC papers, health garuntee... etc. I never met her parents but, I didn't know that it was a good thing to do at the time. But I love her like she is my baby, and wouldn't change it for the world! |

| ![]() No doubt but its less like to be from genetics if its a good breeder who does the testing a knows there genes.

| ![]() She was not a pet to her breeder. She was in rescue for 3 months before she was socialized enough around people for the rescue to start finding her a home. She was scared of all people, barked like crazy, and ran away from everybody except me. It was clear that she wasn't a pet when she first got to the rescue. It's sad but not all people who breed yorkies think of the parent dogs as pets they would keep if they didn't produce puppies. She was going to be used for breeding, but at least the breeder didn't use her to breed because the LP could have been passed on to her puppies. I'm just glad she wasn't sold off to an unsuspecting buyer who thought they were getting a completely healthy young dog. The breeder could have done a lot worse to her than to give her to a rescue where she could find a good home. Actually, I don't know if there were any fees the rescue had to pay for her or if there were any other circumstances as to why Sparrow was given up just after she turned one year old. |

| ![]() Well if it was a breeder then she did the right thing by not breeding her at least.
