| New to the Club: Name - Ziggy or Zzyyggee? Hello One and All! My wife (Pat) and I (Theo) are new Yorkie owners and are just starting what has been a very enjoyable journey. Our male pup was born on October 1st. His name sounds like 'Ziggy', Pat wants it to be spelled 'Ziggy', I like 'Zzyyggee'. He is such an individual. I guess Pat thinks no one will know how to pronounce his name. I mean he's not going to fill out an application to college, although he may get a job - he's just that smart and impressionable! Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts and your name choice. Btw, he is toy size - 7-8 lbs. Although Pat got the dog and named him she wants me to be fully invested. We are looking forward to being part of the YorkieTalk community. Happy New Year, Theo and Pat |

| I vote for Ziggy, too. I don't see the point in making the spelling more difficult than it has to be. You will have to give his name to your vet, and if it is spelled the standard way then you won't have to correct them. Just less confusing. Will fit on a name tag easier, too.

| Zzyyggee….why not be unique? My ZoE is actually ZoƎ on all her paperwork. My daughter, an EMINƎM fan since 4th grade (she‘s now a senior in college), after visiting lots of breeders while searching for a yorkie as a gift for me, finally found the one she liked ….on Eight Mile Road…which she, of course, took as a sign that was ZoE should became ZoƎ. So far, only one person had difficulty with it and read it as Zo 3 and asked what happened to 1 and 2

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would go with Zygge it's just different enough spelling than Ziggy. I always let my husband name the dogs so he feels invested! Welcome and congratulations.

| OMG... The name is so personal... and very often you don't have much time to come up with it. My first Yorkie was a rescue and had already been named Marley. My little guy is Max... although that has become Maxie... and that has become Maxie-Pad because of the diapers he has to wear when he has run of the house. The name and nick-name will come to you... just love your little baby, and the name will come to you. |

| Maybe compromise and do it Zyggee? Not too difficult to read, but still different. |

| Hi and congrats your new baby. I like Ziggy as it's easy to spell. Ziggy in itself a unique name.
