| Hello Hello all- I am new to this forum. I do not have a yorkie yet but I am definitely looking for the perfect baby. I have been researching for awhile and I thought I was ready but I found something new. Someone sent me a pic of their yorkie and I fell in love. This yorkie had a beautiful full tan and black coat. But through further reading I think I discovered this cotton or Woolley coat is a fault. Please help!!!! I love the look but also want to make sure I get a healthy puppy. I have no desire to show or breed the puppy so that is not an issue for me. Also if anyone knows where I may get one of these babies please let me know. Thanks |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome. I have 4 and 2 of them stayed black and tan. One is a silky coat, my Pixie. The other is Cali who has a cotton coat that is a nightmare to keep up. I think the only way to be sure of the coat is to get an adult. I got Pixie at 13 months. Yorkies can change colors for years so what you have at 1 year may be completely different at 3 years old. Good luck in your search and it's good to see you are researching before buying.

| Hi and welcome to YT. I am not familiar with Brazilian yorkies. Great that you are doing research. Just be careful and please make certain that you buy from a reputable breeder.
