CKC will let you register anything.... My friend has a coffee table registered as a great Dane. She did it to prove a point. She doesn't even own a great Dane. She breeds bulldogs.

Lol, that's funny, but it just goes to show how easy it is to mislead people with these paper registries.

I never actually finalised the registration (partly because I didn't want to be done for fraud for such a silly point, partly because I begrudged giving them the money) but I got my fawn chi approved for registration as a yellow Labrador!!!! He is a big deerheaded chi, and the pic had nothing to compare his size to, but mistaking a chihuahua for a lab it's crazy!

Wow isn't that something, but for them it's all about the money. Lol, I'll bet they just wish you would have sent them the money! I think a lot of people don't realize any one can make up a registry. At one time we were talking about making up a registry called "Authentic Teacup Princess Royal Yorkies," only authenitic teacups from champion lines would be allowed to join! Send me $25.00 bucks if you want a certificate.

While i had to laugh( it was funny), id like to see proof of this statement. I find it hard to believe she sent pictures of a coffee table and got them registered. Perhaps she sent pictures of a dog, named after her coffee table. If proof is provided, this is horribly wrong...
If proof cant be provided then one would logically conclude this to be a false statement. This is why i avoid watching the cable news channels.
