| Do Your Dogs Sniff Your Eye's? Kind of strange behavior. Both of our dogs have done this. Usually if their excited to see you. If they jump up on your lap, they seem to want to sniff Your eyes. Bradley would do it almost every day, when I came home. Andy has shown signs of the same behavior. Weird? |

| Not that I ever remember. Mine is usually interested in what flavor of lip gloss I have on.

| My dog sniffs one of my eyes. Do you suffer with allergies or sinus problems? I am wondering if that's why she does this. I have sinus problems and allergies. Sometimes the sinus pressure causes my eye to hurt. This eye also gets red sometimes. |

| Ours do. I know this might turn heads, but if you wear mascara that will have a part in dogs and particularly cats taking great interest in your eyes. Most mascara (and a host of other beauty products) has guanine in it, which is derived from fish scales (eww). NOT bat dung as widely thought. Even though it has been refined and is safe, they still are attracted to it. snopes.com: Is Mascara Made from Bat Guano? If you don't wear mascara; I have no idea. |

YT 1000 Club Member | I saw this thread and just have to respond because I thought Romeo was strange. His way of greeting someone, anyone, is not by licking but by sniffing the entire face, especially the eyes! He will then sniff the hands before he will allow ONLY strangers to pet him.

| I don't suffer from allergies, and no, I don't wear makeup But when Andy started doing it, it reminded me of Bradley so much that I thought I'd better ask here. It is kinda strange behavior? |

| I have a yorkie that does this and she only does this to me and no one else. It is like she is inspecting or looking for the smell of something. Sometimes she will sniff longer and then look at me. Other times she will just sniff and go on her way. There was another dog that came around me that done the exact same thing and they said she had never done that before to anyone. |

| Mine doesn't but I wear glasses so if she did she would be putting her nose up to my glasses which when she wasn't used to the glasses she did a few times but now she doesn't.

| Jack sniffs eyes and doesn't give kisses freely (we have to prompt him with food - he is very food motivated!) Yes, I wear mascara, but my hubby doesn't (at least that I know of )

| I would schedule a visit with my eye doctor. Eye pressure and many other things tell doctors about our health.

| Rosie does it but Mikki does not. I too think it has something to do with the mascara. It seems when I have it on is when she really wants to do it.
