Thank you! Max is a BIG boy now. I just got a bunch of new bows from Susan @ Bowbiz. They are so amazing, unique and adorable. Which reminds me that's another thread I need to start!

Now I am paying about $10 more for a service done in usually an hour or less, right in my own driveway, and am always satisfied and happy with the cuts. I've used 2 mobile groomers and was happy with both. :)

Brit, why don't you feel like you could learn to do this yourself? Have you ever thought about being an intern for the groomer? You seem like you'd be great at this. I'm always trying to push you into doing something aren't I? :D

I agree. Brit should groom Jackson.

:eek::eek::eek: You guys are nuts! I am TERRIBLE when it comes to designing, cutting, or doing anything of the sorts. Pretty certain Jackson would always look like a rat if I were cutting his hair. :p

It's a skill you can learn, the talent you need is getting the dog to relax and trust you. You just sound so good with dogs.

Oh, I definitely am a dog person. Almost every dog I've met has learned to trust me quickly, even when they often don't like anyone else. lol. But I think it's I like being being the "nice guy" so I'd rather hand him off to someone else to do the horrible deed of grooming him. He's actually really tolerant of me doing anything to him, since he trusts me so much, but one thing I still can't do is the nails. He's just moves his paw constantly, so I end up taking 5-10 minutes for one nail. I don't know... it's just easier to pay and hand him off to someone else. :p

I can't do Joey's nails either, but remember there is a difference between doing your own dog and doing a stranger's dog. Sometimes the strangers dog will behave better.

I do Jack's grooming. I keep his mustache/beard cut a bit shorter so we don't have to pick it out of his mouth when he eats and I keep the hair around his eyes short and even give him "bangs" while keeping the rest of the hair on his head longer. I just "tip" the ears and keep the hair a bit longer there because I think he looks cuter that way. Here is a picture of him. Hope you like and hope it helps. The first two pictures are more recent the third picture was pre-groom.... lol

Thanks! We will see what happens tomorrow. The cost is also going to be only $10 more.

I took brewster to a groomer for the first time this summer it was terrible. The second time around I did it myself and it looked better and it was free. :-) plus he feels safe with me. I trim his bangs as well.
