| What she said was when her female was in heat her unfixed male dog was uninterested in the female in heat. You might need to reread............just saying.

| Thank you! You all had such good advice and wrote back so quick! I think you are my new pals! Here is the whole story. A year ago, we started looking for another dog to keep ours company while gone to work. We looked at rescue shelters, online.... there was never the right "fit". One day a coworker teacher told me that her two yorkies just had a litter. The more I talked to her, the more I realized that the little male pup would work out in our family. Her two dogs (akc) were bred from friends of hers (not interbred), and this was her 3rd pair of yorkies. She got them fixed after this litter (it was their second) and she had all of the pups sold except for mine. When I talked to my husband about it, he was floored by the cost, but when I told him my friend said that I could get the cost back from just one studing, he was okay with it. (That is how the stud idea came into play.) He is a healthy dog, akc registered, but the more you all talk about how hard this will be and how risky it is for him, I'm wanting to take your advice on neutering. Just need to convince my husband now. Thank you again for your advice. |
