| What a blessing your mommy instincts kicked in it could have been an awful tragedy.

| Oh wow glad that you saw it. We have one that seems to come back every winter. Here is a picture from last year. I can't believe I got this good of a picture. I was pointing the camera and it was pitch black and when I thought I had it where it was at I snapped the picture. I have only seen it once this year and it flew away fast. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL89/.../396406158.jpg

| That's crazy! I never even thought of that. We have a couple of hawks around here too - mostly in the spring, so I try to be very careful when putting Jack out - but that is a big owl! Beautiful picture though but scary for sure!

| So glad your watching out! It's very difficult to spot them at night too. I was out back with the girls two days ago around 3 o'clock and scared an owl off my neighbors tree. I rushed the girls back inside. I don't take Jilli Ann, who will be 16 weeks tomorrow, out in the evening at all. It's a shame we have to be on guard all the time like this. Thank goodness for potty pads at night.
