| Why are they not fixed? I hope you realize what a male will do to get to a female in heat. It is dangerous to have both the unaltered dogs in the same house. Please be very careful and have her fixed after this heat and him asap.

| I am looking into getting all three of my dogs fixed but at the moment they aren't, they are both 3 years old, I been threw heat cycles with them and I keep him in another house while either female is in heat, its just information that I would like to know. Like the say that the second stage of the cycle is when the female will allow for the male to mate with her and she will become pregnant I wanted to know about how many days does that cycle last. Thank you both for the advice. |

| I would neuter him and then get your girl spayed when she is done with her heat.

| Neuter/spay is the only safe way to prevent pregnancy. A male will do anything to get to a female in heat.
