Silly things your yorkie fears... Yesterday while putting in a new garbage bag I realized Nikko is afraid of the garbage bags!! :D As soon as he sees me take out the bag he runs out of the kitchen. What frightens him is when I snap the bag open before putting it in the can. I could hear him growling from the living room, LOL :D He is such a brave boy that after the bag was safely in the can he came prancing back into the kitchen as cocky as ever. It prompted me to wonder what other silly stuff our babies are afraid of. Here's just a few of Nikko's other household enemies: curtains (he growls & barks at them when he sees them swaying with the breeze) vaccuum cleaner (the sound drives him nuts) the drain (the gulping sound of bathwater going down the drain makes him growl) the computer chair (the wheels scare him) What silly things do your pups fear? |
My puppies are scared of the vaccum too! The other day we had all the windows open in the house and I had hung a shirt on a hanger right in front of the window to dry and the breeze was making it move :p and little Charlie barked at it non stop until I finally had to take it down!!! It was the funniest thing!!! :p And so cute!!! |
This sounds weird but my husband is now on an oxygen machine...when he lays on the tube by accident.... it lets out a really loud whistle and Chanel RACES behind the couch hiding and shaking - she is really REALLY scared of it and not scared of anything else in my whole house - I have to coax her out and feel so bad seeing her skake. :( the funny thing is Cheri isn't bothered at all the the noise and will look up but that's all - and she is the real baby in the house normally...but Chanel is terrified by that whistling noise. |
Thats funny! We also have the trash bag ordeal,, but he wants to attck it,, if I lay it down he wont go near it, but as soon as I pick it up he is in attack mode. He has a fear of any kind of grate,.. the street water grates.. or even the heating vents on the floor, if his toy goes on it he wont get it, he will sit and bark at it until I, get it off of it. |
Nothing..lol Nah, the ONLY thing she runs away from is the vacuum cleaner.. she will run and hide and then when Im done she comes back out from hiding and barks and growls at it like she's fussing at it! haha |
Aren't they a riot sometimes? ;) Oh yeah, I almost forgot Nikko's worst enemy, the grocery shopping cart. I have a small red one I take to the market and he throws a fit when he sees me wheeling it. :D |
JPop is scared of the fly swatter. I've never spanked him with it, but used to threathen my cat (RIP) with it, so I guess he remembers it. I certainly use it to my advantage when he is being bad; barking nonstop, etc. Stops him in his tracks everytime. ;) All I have to do is let him see it. |
hmmmm.... I have not found anything that Wosie fears yet. At 5 months old, she is still pretty curious about everything. My Angel, though, was deathly afraid of thunder. She would cower and want to be held through any storm. She was also afraid of the sound of woodworking machinery, and whenever my husband was in the workshop in the basement, she had to be in my arms. Makes it tough when you are trying to cook dinner, lol! Jasper was too dumb (no, really, he was!) to be afraid of anything. I loved my Jasper greatly, but I swear he was mentally handicapped! He was just one of those sweet, loving, but dumb "oh I am a dog, oh yes I am a dog" kind of pups. He was trainable, but just did not show the finely honed intelligence of either Angel or Wosie. You can just see it in the girl's eyes. Not Jasper, lol! |
Dollar had no fear.....nothing can scare him. He is such a tough boy!!! lol |
Samson is also afraid of garbage bags. He stays far away when I take one out. I try not to make too much noise with it when I open it. |
My little Priates are afraid of nothing and i mean nothing. Our neighbors are hunting right now and the babies want to go out and go with them. |
Biddy is afraid of all plastic bags. When I bring in the groceries I just put a few bags in front of the front door and she won't go near it!! It's great because I can leave the door open while I'm bringing in the groceries & I knw she won't run out! |
Chloe is afraid of alot of things: the vaccuum cleaner, the electric mixer, thunder, and she is scared of boxes. If I dont want her to go out of the room I can just put a shoe box near the door and she wont go near the thing. Daisy hasnt showed any fears towards anything yet. |
Chachi isnt scared of anything. Jewels is my scardy cat. She doesnt like any kind of loud noise she wants to sit on my lap. My 5 year old daughter scares her when she is loud. |
Yorkie fears! Was a bit chilly the other night and we lit a fire in the fireplace. Talk about a spooky yorkie!!! As soon as she noticed the flames and could hear the crackling, she barked non-stop for about five minutes!!!! |
Vaccum Cleaner as well |
Miko is scared of the vacuum cleaner and the paper Shredder, He will attack the shredder anytime we try to shred something, he'll run from wherever he is and bark and attack it :) |
The vacuum cleaner is the only thing I can think of right now. My other dog loves to chase the vacuum. He thinks it is a game or something....he hates it when he is in his cage and I vacuum. He starts barking bc he wants to be out and chasing it....hahahaha |
Sango is afraid of basketballs. She'll run away & bark like mad when she sees it on the floor. Then she'll try to sneak up on it, run by really quick and nip at it. Which of course makes it move around a bit & she flips out more. One day while I was cooking in the kitchen Sango was laying at my feet and my fiance came home from work. Little did my poor missy know he had a basketball behind his back. She went darting over to give him kisses, and as he squatted down he dropped the ball from behind him between his legs and i swear you should her going "OMG HIT THE BRAKES!!~" It was like she skidded & did a 180 sooo fast. She was like a bat outta hell. And my poor baby left a trail of peepee behind also. Poor thing. I ran over & started hitting my fiance (play fighting) & lil' miss Sango was barking at him from behind me. She was sayin, "Why'd you hafta do dat for Poppa?!~ It skeered the peepee oudda meee!" :p |
birds fireworks helicopters {Hmmm. Seems to be a theme here: FLYING THINGS} |
Princess is afraid of the ironing board. She doesn't like the sound it makes when we open and close it. She runs past it quickly and then barks at it. She hates a wind up toy my son got at McDonalds but as soon as it stops making the noise she picks it up and starts chewing it. She also hates the vacuum cleaner. |
no fear My Brandy girl is not affraid of anything. Sometimes I think that gets her in trouble. She chases and attacks anything with wheels including the vaccuum, bicycles, cars, skateboards.. etc. She also attacks the broom and barks at the hairdryer. Before she came to live with me she was run over so I dont know if that has anything to do with her hatred of wheels but I am assuming it has something to do with it. Oh yea.. the doorbell.. thats a biggy.. complete and total melt down.. tee hee ;) |

misty is scared of the mop and broom. she is terrified of them she runs under the bed and starts to shake :( poor thing i feel so bad for her but, what can i do i have to clean my house lol :p |
This is kind of funny...Maddie is gets scared when I cook on the stove. She\'s fine with the preparation, but once she smells food on the stove, she\'ll stay under the sofa or in the bedroom and won\'t come out until it\'s done. I just moved into a new place with new appliances. The warrantee papers were in the oven, so the first time I cooked anything, the papers caught on fire and there was lots of smoke. She was terrified of all the smoke. I think that\'s why the stove bothers her now. Poor thing! |
Our dancing Christmas tree. Every year since we had Lacey, we had put up that tree. It fit on the coffee table and it sings and dances. It is motion activated. Lacey would bark like crazy at it and jump a mile in the air every time it went off. Her last Christmas, she got brave and started swatting it with her paw. She was always scared of other dogs. My brother had a lab. And when he brought it over, she ran behind the couch scared to death. But, she started to get braver in her senior years, her best friend and boyfriend turned out to be Buster down the street. He is a bloodhound. He never tried to hurt her, loved her to pieces. Even though I was nervous about such a big dog coming near my yorkie. Lacey was just crazy about that dog. If anyone even mentioned the name Buster, her face would light up. She would run to the window looking for him while barking. |
Oh, yeah. I forgot that one. Maddie is also terrified of any other dog besides Monkey. She tries to crawl up me like a frightened cat...lol. |
I don\'t think my Brandy is afraid of much of anything unfortunately. She wants to beat up the vacuum cleaner. She does act pretty terrified if she is placed on the trampoline. She doesn\'t weigh enough to move it but I think she can see thru it and walks like she is afraid she is going to fall. |
If you stick your tounge out at Sammi she runs like a bat outta hell...I dont know why she does this but she doesnt like that at all!! Shes weird what can I say!! |
