| ![]() I know my Westie can get a little cranky if he is laying down and my son (now a teen-ager) accidentally kicks him with his foot on the couch or some such. Could that have happened? Seems like you have gotten a lot of good advice. Here is a gentle, everyday, training program (or really way of life) that can help reinforce who is in charge here (you!). | ![]() I think sometimes our furbutts respond to issues in their life just as we humans do. Our little guy and my hubby have from the time we brought him home 3 years ago played tug of war with his favorite toy, but the week we lost our little lolita they were playing as usual and he snapped and tried to bite my hubby. Yes we corrected him by telling him no no bad boy and putting him in his crate for a bit but all this being said it has not happened before or since. We think it was just a reaction for him out of the depression he was feeling at losing his playmate. I honestly think it happens sometimes not because of bad training or them being bad dogs its life just like we all snap at times and lose our tempers. Good luck hun.

| ![]() Sorry you are going thru this Valenie. It sounds as though you have gotten a ton of advice. I was wondering if it wasn't the smell of the milk on your son's mouth/breath in addition to being stimulated by chewing on his bone. My first question would be, was it in an aggressive manner? or was it as though he was sniffing and then tried to nibble? Either way, you cannot go wrong with training and being careful with the 2 of them. Best of luck with Mr. Tibbs neuter and let us know how he's doing.

| ![]() Best of luck with Tibbers neuter and training....sounds like you are headed in the right direction and have gotten lots of great advice here. I was also thinking that perhaps your son rolled onto Tibbers legs or body and that could have caused his to react...either way...I think the training is a great idea!
