YT 500 Club Member | Need some training advice Just got to Fl for the winter months we have a mobile here,my problem is ever time someone come to the door she wants to run outside she knows how to sit and stay and does reallygood with this command but she just gets so excited when someone comes and then will run outside,she does come back when I say come but if she was to see another dog I am not sure she would mind me. Any suggestions how to stop this . |

| Two options: pick her up or install a swinging gate. I understand your concern. This is what I would do.

| When I only had one Yorkie, I used to pick her up before answering the door. After getting two, I couldn't do that anymore, so I put our ex-pen up around the front door, on the inside, to keep them at bay while I answer. A baby gate would work okay but you'd have to be able to step over it, or get a swinging one. I just move the ex-pen aside when someone has entered and the door has been shut, then put it back
