| I prefer my boys I beleive the derogatory term bitch is used in that way for a reason. Not that I don't love my female, but too many have misconceptions. Females mark too! Boys generally speaking are more loving and playful and stereotypically speaking girls more more moody. I have known this to be true in my experience I'd take a make over a female any day. I previously was under the train of thought I wanted a girl until the rescuer who hooked me up with my Scoobers messed up and when arriving to pick him up I discovered he had been neutered and not spayed because he was in fact a male and not a female...poor boy wore those pink leashes and harnesses for the whole first year...I gave away all the girl cloths I had bought for mhime expecting to get a her. I'm ashamed to say I almost didn't take him home when I discovered he was a boy but after he hid behind my legs right after meeting him, I just knew he had chosen us...besides the kids would have been crushed-well honestly my daughter was disappointed my son excited....however almost 2 years later my daughter decided she wanted a male dog for herself.

| Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I agree that both are just precious! We went with a girl for our first Yorkie. One because I just wanted a girl. I wanted a girl that I could put pretty dresses on and glam up like I do myself. I've always wanted a skin baby girl, but infertility issues got in the way. We love our girl, but the boys are just as wonderful I think! I have met many Yorkie boys when we go out with Katie Scarlett and they are always so cute and playful too! Now our girl is very loving, but a total diva! She is so picky about the silliest things. We find it hilarious. She is like her Mommy!

I am partial to the boys, but you can't go wrong with male or female when it comes to a Yorkie.

| I have had both boys and girls growing up... but once I got out on my own, I have always chosen boy dogs. |
