I'm sorry for your loss. It is so hard to loose our babies no matter how long or short their stay with us, they are a huge part of our families.

Just stopping by to see how you and Brandy are today, Roz. Hoping Brandy is doing a little better again today and that her mommy is feeling a little better also. I know, we mommies just don't feel whole if a baby is not home, plus not feeling well and in the care of someone other than ourselves. Hoping Brandy will be home to her mommy soon.

Just wanted to say Hi,and hope Brandy is doing better. My Bailey had kennel cough a few weeks after we got him. He was on several antibodics,and is good as new. Wish you luck! She will be home soon. Beege

I just noticed this thread. You stated yesterday that it might be 6 more days. That sounds kind of excessive for what she is being treated for. I hope you are taking the advice others gave you and are visiting your puppy. I'm just a bit concerned about the time frame they are giving you for you pup to be able to go home. Are you sure there is not another problem?

Thanks again everyone. The update is this... I will be going to the vet on sat and hopefully taking her home. They said she's doing better and that the treatment worked for her. She even gained some weight. I can't wait to see her and have her home. I'll update you guys sat. Wish me luck...hugs

Great news!!!
My Cali spent 5 days at the vets on IV fluids last month - it was a bad intestinal virus, but they tested her for everything under the sun I think. I would drive the the 34 mile round trip two times a day to just sit and hold her. I really got scared the day that it seemed she didn't even know me, but then the next day she was really perking up and was very aware of who I was. It all ended well -- but of course, during those 5 days I could not sleep without her little furbutt back up against me all night -- so we must have slept for two days to catch up

Have faith. I think YT is a great bunch of buddies and everyone is pulling for you and Brandy. We will be eager to hear how it goes Saturday.

I'm so glad she is doing better. Can't wait until you get her home. I hate to think of any dog having to be away from it's family.
