I have had dogs and cats that try to move the water bowl to get the water swirling around before they drink. I think they are trying to get the slime that sits on top of the water off. Dog's mouths are slimy and it gets in the water. No getting around that. |
While I do clean the water bowl with more than a simple rinse I have had concerns about the bacteria that can still grow in the water bowl. All it takes is eating food and then having a drink to contaminate the wate and for things to start growing again.
What water bottle have you had success with? The brand I am seeing most often here is called Living World. They have a glass water bottle that is 26 oz but I haven't been sure if the nozzle is large enough.
