Just want to throw this out there, she has a very shy personality according to her profile and is she is the same or worse than Rizzo she would present you with quite a challenge. For one she wouldn't be able to go to all the same places you take kaos and that may cause her to become jealous or anxious of she developed a strong bond with you. Plus shy pipe do not like to go anywhere they might be crowded or where small children will run at them yelling PUPPY!!! before their parents cab get a handle on them. it is tough trying to get a dog over their human shyness and can be frustrating at times, I just want a pup that will accept a pet from anothrr human! If this is something you can handle along with the finance aspect I say go for it, she looks so sweet. |

I know from experience what Deuce is talking about. I've had Kaji from the time he was 12 months old. He had extreme fear of everything, including toys. it's been 2 years and he shakes, drools excessively, and will pee himself when I take him outside. There has been some progress. He plays with toys, loves a small group of humans, accepts a small group of men, is ok being around one particular child, and the shaking, drooling, and wetting himself doesn't happen at every outing. It's slowly starting to get better. |
After much thought the last few days...I think I have decided to wait. As much as I WANT to give this precious little one a loving/caring home. I don't think it would be responsible for me as Kaos' mommy, to take her in just yet. I am probably not financially prepared enough for two little ones at this time. I could of course cover the routine things, but I wouldn't be able to handle it if some how they BOTH needed extensive medical care. Now here comes the tough part...stoping myself from checking up on her. :( |

I think some think there is a massive reserve of funds being accumulated by rescues to get all these 'expensive' medical costs covered. Those expensive life saving silly medical treatments that no one (the people who dumped the dogs in the first place) could afford.:thumbdown Or people also assume that everyone who works rescue is a philanthropist, and can just write a personal check to their rescue to cover costs. Anyways I do have to say it is confusing if you don't understand it and you see Craig's lists purepred Yorkie puppies $100 and the an older rescue listed for $900  |
No need to be sarcastic about it. I happen to work for PayPal and know a lot of these "rescues" that claim to be non-profit and accept donations through our system that we then have to block from PayPal bc they are, in fact, not truly non-profit. That's where I was coming from it. But thanks for reminding me why I stayed away from this site for a couple of months. |
