I am so happy to hear the good news about Mack!! I've been checking for updates and am so glad to hear that he is doing so much better. God is good!!!! |
Stopping by for my evening "check in" of little Mack Brown. So glad to see he poo'd and that the vet said all is good! Definitely sounds like he is on his road to recovery. |

Great new!! |
So happy to see Mack making these little milestones with his recovery... and the big one w/ the poo :) |
Was wondering how Mack is this morning? |
Mack had a GREAT evening and night!! He still doesn't want to play with Bevo or Bryleigh (or at all for that matter), and he is one that LOVES to play....But, Im sure he is still sore and not himself yet. He did eat a tiny bit of kibble on his own, but is still really enjoying the A/D food with boiled chicken. He hasn't had anymore poo's yet, but what goes in....must eventually come out!! :) Geez.....just one week ago today I was told my angel wasn't going to make it.... I LOVE MIRACLES!!! |
Mack has been a miracle baby from day one and he is truely a special boy. Mina says that when he feels better he needs a sand pile to dig in. |
This is such great news.. He will be back to his loving ,playing self in no time. This forum loves Mack. Lots of us have followed his story since day one. I was so happy to hear all the great updates and yes even that he pooped Give him a gentle hug from me. |
Mack has a special Smilbox to share with you all!! There is a new thread...He and I wanted to again say thank you for all that you have done!!! |
I was gonna ask you if you thought about A/D, it's bland and good for his tummy to handle and stinks to the high heavens (which of course they love) glad to hear he's doing good (reading all this makes me feel like I know him lol) |
So I had all I could take... Mack just got a "half" bath!!! This morning he was "hugging" me in bed and turned around and has his rear right in my face..... Phweeee!!!!! Lol!! So I washed his head, front paws, rear, and back paws with shampoo but didn't touch the middle of him! Now that was a challenge!! But he sure does smell better!!! :) |
Mack is still doing absolutely amazing!! He is his sweet, feisty, little self again. He always has been a big kisser... And we would actually have to make him quit licking us! But now, I am so thankful or those kisses.... New question though... I have no experience on incisions on the tummy, but I'm sure many of you are. Both boys were neutered and these incisions seemed to heal up quickly. Mack is due to get his stitches out of his tummy on Friday, but it doesn't look like it's healing. It's not red, puffy, or abnormal, it just looks like it's not growing back together... Is this normal?? |
YAY!!! GO MACK!!! So glad your feeling better!!! |
I wonder if Mack has any idea not only how loved but how very many people love him and are following his lil life from afar...7 here! |
Kendra, I don't know about an incision that size. I'm glad to hear he's doing so well. That must have been a challenging bath.:D |

so glad that little Mac is making a great speedy recovery. He really is a special little guy... |
Wound healing has a lot of factors that need to be considered-one important one is nutrition. Mack has been pretty sick and probably hasn't gotten his protein stores up to normal, so it will take a little longer with him. Your vet will be able to look at and feel incision line to tell if the wound is able to hold together. He has been one sick little boy but thankfully things are getting better. |

Hugs little Mack we are just checking on you. About stitches,, hummm you know medical stuff is not my thing, but I know when Zacky had a block in his bowel, his incision looked kind of like the skin wasn't touching making a little gap. Doc said that it was fine, the internal tissues were already healed. Maybe that is what it is. I am sure the Vet can tell what is going on when he sees Mack on Fri. |

I was out of town and with out power so I am just catching up on sweet Mack. I am happy to hear he is doing so much better. Sending prayers for his continued recovery. |
Maybe because its such a large incision, it will just take longer to heal .... i'm sure your vet won't take out the stitches before he is healed. SO happy to hear that Mack is feeling so much better....he is a special little guy. |
Wow~what an ordeal Mack has been through & conquered!! :) I'm so glad he is doing so great!! |
