| Tinkling problem We have let Penny's coat grow out a bit; it's at a medium length now. However, she is having problems with tinkling on herself. We usually only bathe her once a week, but some nights when she comes to bed I can smell pee. I know many owners here have Yorkies with longer coats. How do you folks deal with this? Before we would just take her in to the groomer's; she will be going soon as it's past time, but I had hoped to keep her coat a bit longer. She looks so pretty. |

Not saying this is the correct way, but Maggie's hair is medium length--but we keep her tummy and private parts clipped very short. Haven't had any problem with her tinkling on herself. Even though her hair is short on the underneath side, you can't tell it.

| Also - not giving an entire bath, but just hosing her backside off in the sink with plain water occasionally helps a lot. Carol Jean |

| I groom chloe myself and I am also growing out her coat. I bought a bikini trimmer at walmart for $6 and I use it to shave around chloes privates and inner back legs so no pee gets on that hair. I also shave her bum. We have never had a problem with her smelling of pee. The trimmer is so easy to use and battery operated. I also use it to trim her ears and feet. Hope that helps.
