| It could be grass. In that case he would need medication to control the symptoms. Are you sure it isn't mites (since the bug products help)? An antihistamine like Benadryl has to be given as directed for at least 10 days to see if there will be any affect. You can do liquid Benadryl 2-3 times daily. An elimination diet is fine (although I'd be careful how many things you try at once because then you won't know what helped), but the vet should be the one initiating it. It should be done with a very simple homecooked diet or an rx diet. You might get away with a Natural Balance LID or something, but really even there there is flax. Best to just go with what's considered the best.
