| Need help in finding a home for a golden retreiver I need a help from my yorkietalk friends... there is such a wealth of knowledge on here I thought I would give it a try. My sister who lives in Rock Hill SC needs to find a home for her older golden Bayley. Bayley is a very sweet dog that just can't be around children anymore. Unfortunately Bayley bit my 10 month old nephew yesterday and he had to get 6 stitches on his face... so my sister can no longer keep him in her home. Bayley is amazing with other animals and adults... he is just can't be around kids. Any suggestions?? Oliver and I appreciate any information you can give!! Karla

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | How very sad. I hope she can find a reputable rescue to help Bayley. I have a serious soft spot for Golden's. Rescue Groups for Golden Retrievers listed by State

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Is there a family member who can take Bayley? It would be sad to see him spend his final year or two with strangers.

| Right now Bayley is with my sisters in-laws but they said they can't keep him past the holidays. We have looked into other family ... but we all keep the kids... so he just Cant be around children.

| Did someone take him to the vet? 12 is kind of old for a Golden and if it's out of character for him to bite (and it should be) maybe he is ill or in some serious pain. |

| My sister and her husband have had him since he was 12 weeks old so they are heart broken.... but he is older and he needs to take seizure medication which they would be willing to pay for. They don't want his last years to be away from them as well... so thats why they would like someone close that they could help with the food etc in his last years. They have adopted children so they have a 18month old and a 10 month (I hope I got their ages strait or I'm a bad Aunt) so there is no way he can be in the house.
