And in SOME (not all) places the biewer IS recognized as a "rare" breed and is a different breed from the yorkie.

my lola has white on the top of her head, but is pure yorkie, then again she is only almost 6 months and her color is always changing but she has always had a white patch on top

I agree...either a parti or a beiwer....But whats the difference...it is ADORABLE!! Just make sure you are looking at reputable breeders!!!

Wow you can learn so much here. I went looking for Biewers and found some amazingly beautiful animals. Here's one I thought was just adorable!

Biewer and Parti Tri color breeders strive to have a traditional colored head (no white markings on face-mask). Wonder why none of them have posted on this yet...often the only 'distinction between Biewer and Part is full tail or docked tail.
However many Parti breeders are not leaving tails long.

So those who are breeding for a conformity with the inclusion of white will have pups with white on face but the majority of their dogs will not their breeding 'stock' will also not.

I personally think white on the face is cute....my Elvis has a white strand on one side of his beard.
