| Roles Those of you with more than one yorkie do you find they have their own little roles they play in your household? For example Jewels is the little watcher. She will sit on the back of the couch and when she sees something going on like my Husband pulling up in his car she will run down and alert chachi by running by him then running in a circle. Then chachi will jump up and look out the window and bark and get excited. But we saY she is the watcher and chachi is the meat. Do your yorkies do any role type of things like that

| That is really cute! Mine have divided the work of "greeting" (barking) at all new comers. Sophie at the office & Bella at home. They are free, however, to but in on the other's territory on occasion. |

| Max is the Boss and he doesn't like that Teddy has been invading his role of keeping watch over everything. Max tried to direct everyone and everything and likes to correct Teddy. Teddy is the pleader. I can say no to Max (sometimes, lol), but when Teddy starts begging for walks or meals, it is so hard to say no to him.

| At my dads house, the 3 dogs form a little pack. Yep they each think they have certain jobs (though they can be VERY annoying jobs, lol). Lily (the JRT mix) is the one who is constantly on alert. Once she gets barking at something, she won't shut up. She is usually the one who gets the other two barking right along with her. Lily growls and then Jackson jumps up from whatever he is doing to go bark, even though he has NO idea what she's barking at. Buddy, the Dachshund mix, is more laid back. He waits until there is something that truly warrants his attention, like a stranger walking in or something. He does not waste his energy on the little things LoL.

| Yes every one has their role in the family. I am the Mama and every one has to mind what I say. Gracie is the Drama Queen. She bosses all the other dogs like a bratty older sister. She still screams if I leave or close the door to keep her out of the bathroom. Rubin is the Top Dog and does exactly what he wants to. He quiet and seldom gets involved when the other fuss. They know his Grrr means business, so they don't go in his crate or try to steal his toys and treats. He is perfectly happy to let Gracie boss everyone else. Abba is the Lover. He will snuggle next to me, Rubin or Gracie, he is very calm and would have been a great therapy dog.He is not afraid of new things or much of a barker. I think Ginny Joy is The Misfit. Have you ever met a person who just gets on your nerves, well that is Ginny Joy does to the other dogs. She can't stand to leave anyone alone. If Abba is napping she jumps on him. If Rubin gets a drink of water she nudges him. If Gracie is on my lap. she jumps up and bites her ear or whines for her to come out and play. If Lily the lab is chewing her bully, Ginny Joy will run zoomies around her barking. She tries to pull every ones bows out and she drags tiny Abba around by his ear or collar. GJ is the youngest but biggest Yorkie. Hubby calls her the Roller Derby Bully. She is not really aggressive, she is just like that weird kid in school who wanted friends but, never quite fit in. Poor Ginny Joy, Mama loves you, my little misfit.

| My younger brother and his pup live with us. So we have Levi the Yorkie and Dallas the Whippet mix...and they are quite the dynamic duo. Levi is the Dominator. He is super outgoing and friendly, but he totally likes to let Dallas know that he is the boss. If they are at the dog park together, for example, Levi will play with other dogs...but interrupts if Dallas is making a new friend. If we call Dally's name, Levi thinks it is his duty to round him up and herd him toward us. He loves Dallas, plays with him, and cuddles him...but he's totally the boss of that relationship. Dallas is the Protector. He's a total sweetheart, and I'm pretty sure he'd take a bullet for his little Yorkie friend. He plays gently with him, shares his toys, and lets Levi eat from his bowl. He goes along with whatever Levi wants to do. This picture totally captures their relationship. They are never far from one another.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Definitely! Pixie is the mother hen and keeps the others in line. Cali is the chief squirrel and bird watcher. She also makes sure there is nothing edible on the floor that shouldn't be. Roxie is the neighborhood watch. If she even thinks theirs someone outside she's barks her head off. Nikki, our old timer is our resident napper.

| ^^LOL, Nikki, the resident napper. One of the funniest things that Max does in his role of correcting Teddy is to act horrified when Teddy touches or walks on parts of the furniture, like on the lower level of the end table. I can just see on Max's face that he is saying, "Noooooo! You aren't supposed to do that!" We all have a hard time living up to the Boss Man's high standards, lol.

| I love this post! Yes, our three each has their own duties. Bogus lays in the window on call. Yogi and Suki sleep in their beds. If someone drives up or he thinks he hears anything he barks himself batty until Yogi runs to join him. At this time Bogus backs out of the window sil and Yogi takes charge. Suki lays in her bed and smacks as if to say,"you fools"!
