Also~I was wondering if having a 'white patch' on a blue born makes any difference?!? I read somewhere about blue born yorkies & someone asked their yorkie had a white patch~I was wondering why they asked that?!?

Hmmm I dont know...Does he have a white patch?? Mack did not have a white patch at this age (He is all white now, lol)....

I need to post some pics of Mack at this age to show you...They are IDENTICAL!! Especially the blue eyes... (Macks have since turned green)

A lot of yorkie pups do have a small white patch on their chest and that is normal...but again, not sure what a blue having a white patch could mean...

Look on the upper right hand corner where it says "Welcome, mollymccagain"

There is a blue link that says "private messages"
Click there and it will take you to your inbox (just like e-mail)

you can also click on a members name to send them a message, view their profile, etc....

He almost looks a bit darker than Mack did at that age... There are pics o Mack as a baby in my photos... Click my name... Go to my profile... To the right you will see my albulms... I think his baby pics ate under "blue baby"

Hippo is an absolute cutie though!!

Yeah~I wonder if Hippo will be a bit darker in the face~his mom is pretty dark brown in the face too!! I saw a pic somewhere of a blue born with a brown face~I wonder if he'll look more like that?!?

Actually now looking at it again~his face may be even darker than this~maybe more like Molly's?!?~I just hope he's healthy!!

Hi~been really busy lately keeping up with the leaves!!:O The puppies have just turned 4 weeks old!! They are just starting to lap 'puppy milk' once a day, as Molly seems to be staying away from them a little more & more these days.

Also~started the puppy pad training~Hippo totally gets it already!!! I started at 3 weeks with the pad~he just got it about 2 days ago!! When they wake up I put them right on the pad & he used to walk off & go beside it~but he's been doing it the last couple days right away on the pad & today walked to the pad & 'went'!! I hope it wasn't a fluke thing!!

They are all growing so fast~but especially Hippo!! He is a tank!! They are now trying to run around & are so insanely adorable!! I'll post his updated pics!!

Interesting that your only 2 posts are attacks on the AKC. I don't know of any reputable organization that considers blue borns to be an acceptable color variation of yorkies because of the known health risks.

Aside from that, thanks to the OP for sharing more pics of Hippo. Boy, is he getting big and cute. I hope he continues to do well.

On a standard color yorkie, a white patch often signifies a thick coat. Not sure if this would hold true on a blue born. It will be interesting to see how this little guy continues to grow. Please keep sharing pictures and updates.
