Things No One Told Me...LOL Hmmm...well I thought it might be fun to post things that no one told you before you brought your Yorkie home! Tee Hee! For example, no one told me that I'd be up at 2 AM this morning scrubbing poopie off of the cutest little paw you ever did see and be smiling about it! LOL! I put Katie Scarlett down to bed and I woke up around 2 to check on her. She had pee pee'd twice on her potty pad and poopied once. However, she must've had an accident walking back to her bed and got poopie all in between her little paw pads. I had to fill up the sink with about 1 inch of warm water and clean her up. Since she had a bath Friday, I just cleaned up her underside and we dried off with the dryer. After a little play, she let me brush her out. She is now a clean, good smelling, happy pup drifting back off to sleep while Mommy hops on YT to get sleepy again. So, what is something you've learned that no one told you about this wonderful Yorkie life? LOL! ;) |
Youll do so much butt cleaning where the poop gets stuck to the butt also. Just part of puppyhood. Adulthood sometimes too |

Here's something you may not have known -- your little baby will SNORE and the first time you hear it you won't believe that sound can come from someone so cute :grin2:. |
I didn't know dogs could hiccup or burp. :D I was convinced he was dying the first time he got the hiccups. Almost took him to the vet, but I got a hold of my breeder she explained he wasn't choking... lol ;) |

hahaha!!! Thats hilarious!!! no one told me that a puppy will eat just about anything, like hair, then have mommy all worried for it to just come out of the other end in "string form" and he can't push it out all the way so mommy has to pull the rest of it out. (explicit.. i know).. Being a mother is a dirty job! |
Definitely butt cleaning.....who knew? Never in a million years did I ever think that one day I would be cleaning a dog's butt! |
No one ever told me that....Yorkies are NOT dogs! :D |
I totally agree with #8... My Yorkie is not a dog but my SON! |
No one told me that this little dog could wrap me around her tiny paw and get me to do anything for her. Or that half of my paycheck would go to buying her treats, toys, clothes, food, etc, etc, etc. I walk out of petsmart thinking 'What did I buy?' :D |
No one told me that my yorkie would wake up so happy to see me in the morning....every morning starts with lots of love, tail wagging and kisses :D No one also told me that even though my yorkie is pee pad trained...she would still have little oops on my carpeting....or that I would be willing to get rid of every carpet in the house for her!! |
No one told me yorkies have endless energy & I just can't keep up.:D Also, no one ever, ever told me I'd be so calm about a potty stain in the wrong spot! No one told me they could tell time. Everyday 15 minutes before dd gets out of practice she stares me down until we get ready to go. People did say, and I read, that they are very smart & very sassy and they were dead on. I thought they were exaggerating (how is a dog sassy?:p) & I was very wrong! |
Absolutely the butt cleaning and picking eye boogies...I had no idea!...and how many stuff toys we would go through in a week! AND the best of all, no one told me how much I would love such a little, naughty, loveable, energetic, ragamuffin pup!!! |
Haha this is to funny my friend came over just yesterday and I was shaving Bella's butt and brushing her (She acts like I'm killin her) and she was like maybe I don't want a big sheep dog after all seeing all the work you put into that little thing I don't think I could handle it! Ohh yeah and vet bills......so many vet bills sigh! |
No one told me puppies got hiccups either, lola has gotten then 2 times and she is so confused by them lol. No one told me that i'd wind up spending more on her wardrobe than my own No one told me that I'd have more treats than even necessary taht take up more space in my kitchen than my own treats for myself! |
