No one ever told me my fur baby would have a whole shelf of grooming products that make my one bottle look so lame :D

No one ever told me how that cute little face would completely have me in love. I swear, Jack is like my son. I have never had so much love for an animal before as I do for Jack.

No one ever told me that a cute little thing like him could totally smell worse than my husband. :eek: Feed him the wrong treat and its over! LOL

Or that I would be grooming a dog once a week (including expressing anal glands - gross!)

No one ever told me that I'd secretly (from dh) order hair products and purses for my girls. Not to mention the prices Id pay for those things. Or that Id buy them an armoire for their clothes and that I'd spend way than I'd ever think of spending for myself. Or how quickly I'd freak out when I seen my new baby having runny poops.

All of these posts are so true! No one ever told me that I'd fall so completely in love that not only do the pups need their own complete wardrobes, accessories, multiple beds, blankets, etc, but I also now must buy all manner of Yorkie decorations, knickknacks, etc. God help you if you ever enter Yorkie into the search on E-Bay!

Also, no one ever told me that a little Yorkie with a case of diarrhea could cause as much worry and fear as when my skin kid is sick. No one ever told me that I would be willing to go without and spend all my money just to make my babies more comfortable or a little happier. :love:

Oh my gosh! I am sitting here reading these going oh my gosh! These ladies are just like me! :D So much in common!!

No one ever told me that my furbutt would love to chase squirrels and cows. Which required me to climb a barb wire fence, jump off from the top, totally pull my muscle in my leg while my jeans get caught on the barb wire, frantically screaming her name as she runs, tears running down my face, while the neighbors think I have completely lost my marbles!! :D As I finally get her, instead of being mad, my heart is completely full of love that my little girl was safely back in my arms. Now, who would have reacted that way had it been their kid? :p I can honestly say I never ever thought I would love my pups like they are my kids. (Empty nest syndrome?) Lol.

Me and DH have the "don't ask don't tell policy". He don't ask me how much I spend and I sure don't tell him! :p He would just die if he knew how much money I have invested in my Yorkies! :eek::rolleyes:

Oh, I forgot one! No one ever told me that I would buy pajamas for my doggies. Or that I would spend time explaining to my loved ones how necessary pj's are since they don't have a double coat. :rolleyes:

This thread is soooo awesome, I can relate to each and every post, my goodness is is not the most amazing thing that here on Yorkie Talk, this is the one place in the world where it does not matter what color you are..or where you live..or how much money you have or don't have...or weather you are male or female...we are each and every one of us...'''The Exact Same''. We share a common bond and that is our fur-kids with whom we collectively believe to be the most important thing in our world. How awesome is that....

As for me...Nobody ever told me that I would carry baby wipes with me on walks so that I can do the butt cleaning ad well. And nobody mentioned to me that I would ever take my bare hand and gently wiggle poop from my babies little butt because he was having trouble finishing his poop....or that I would ever have a dog in my bed..or that my dog is not a dog at all but my baby.

I wish my DH would go for this! lol. I would gladly do the same for him. My hubby is quite the video game nut....each game is $60+. Including a new PS3 he "just had to have" :rolleyes:

I totally agree....I got a credit card just for them & don't tell dh how much I spend...esp on O.N. dresses:D:D
