Yorkies how many do you have?! :)Yesterday I got my 4th and 5th Yorkie. Now I have 4 girls and one little boy. They are so darling the boy is about 4 ounces and the girl about 5 ounces at 8 weeks. I told my oldest Yorkie if she hadn't been so darn sweet and loving I would not have this many. How about all of you how many do you have?:animal36 |

I have 3 dogs, but only 1 is a yorkie. I'd love to add some more to my family when the time is right. |

So no one has a problem with 4 and 5 OUNCE puppies away from their mother at 8 weeks? That is less than 1/2 a pound. What am I missing that you guys all know? If she bred them, how did she just get them yesterday? :confused: |

I didn't breed them, and they are 8 weeks old they are just small just like the others that I got at that size, and I do know what I am doing with the small ones like this have had 3 already. |

And in answer to your other questions, I am not writing a book on yorkies, I am a author yes but not about yorkies. I haven't been on here for quite awhile, because I found the people rude and above others, and as a Christian, it is not nice. But will over look all people that are that way an just enjoy myself with the nice people. |

Together those pups hardly weigh over half a pound. TOTAL. Is it a typo? I hope. But OP thinks I am so rude and unreal I doubt we will see an answer. Who sold you those pups so that I can know never to give them any of my money? |
I think it is just horrible and unethical to take pups away from their mother that small and that young. Being a yorkie owner already, she should have known how much more the pups get from being with their mother until they are at least 12 weeks old :( |

My breeder wouldn't let me have Sophie at 8 weeks because she was so tiny and barely had teeth. |

I too am confused. I dont care how old they are... you are saying you have a 4oz and a 5oz puppy??? My Pebbles was 8weeks when I got her and she was over 3lbs. Do you realize how light 4oz is??? I think they are born that little, if I'm not mistaken. Something is wrong here. I hope it is not a thread to stir up drama. I'm with you capt_noonie. !! something is amiss!!! |

Yes I think you are right ! Usually i am not that slow to spot a scammy story. I refrained from saying 8 weeks is too young, It is the legal adoption age in Fl. for dogs and cats. BUT I honestly think 12 weeks is the minimum age for Yorkies. I have seen so many puppies that were placed too young. Sometimes they have nipping and anxiety problems. Here I go, climbing up on that soap box..... I also think Hamster size puppies, that weigh less than my car keys are highly suspect. |
